Punktjafs is a Swedish web-zine (In Swedish only). But for those who don´t
understand our native language I will provide you with some usefull
information. Most of the articles are digital reproductions of old fanzine
material. But there are also quite a few original interviews / articles.
My main goal is the time period between -77 and -82. Mainly because 1982 spawned
the next "punkgeneration" in Sweden, the birth of Asta Kask and
a much faster kind of punk rock, known in Swedish as rå-punk (raw-punk,
hardcore, crust or whatever you like to call it nowdays). Anyway, doing
pretty much everything myself I don´t have the time to translate things into english.
I´m also a University student and a single parent so my sparetime is very
limited. Well to tell you the truth there is no freetime at all.
But I will give you some hints how to navigate the site, without a Swedish
dictionary. The menu far left is articles about bands A-Z. The top menues,
which should be of most interest for you, includes a cd-review page (CD-tipset)
and it consists of homemade CD-r´s, rare material only. And if you want to
listen to some old swedish punk rock, just click on "MP3:or".
Basically a MP3-archive filled with rare material (of course) from all
kinds of different bands. It´s a free service from me and all the
consisting bands. BUT I would like you to give us some comments on this
service and on the music. So do use our guest book, just klick on the link
marked: SÅ TYCK TILL OM ARKIVET OCH OM MUSIKEN RIS, ROS ELLER
ÖNSKNINGAR, KLICKA HÄR !!!
Have fun and enjoy. And remember; All of those nasty swedish punk
rock-band where a menace to society long before bands like The Hives and
Hellacopters were spreading the gospel about PUNKRAWK. In that jurassic
era the swedish "raggare" would kick the shit out of everyone
who had short colored hair, and they (The raggare) attacked Iggy Pop, The
Stranglers and The Jam with chains, broken bottles and bricks. So if you
think it´s rebelious to be a punk nowdays.. well think again. But do
stay PUNK !!! And keep the spirit and music alive (D.I.Y.)
Farbror Punk (Uncle Punk)
Nag, nag..
I think I can manage myself, so get me to Punktjafs NOW !!!!
